Early Leadership Institute Establishes a Legacy of Leadership and Cooperation

Since our launch in 2017, over 150 early career educators across various associations, from Alpine to Washington, have actively participated in the Early Leadership Institute (ELI) program, establishing a legacy of education leaders in Utah.

The ELI program provides a vibrant learning community tailored for early career educators. Its goals are to elevate leadership skills, fortify professional connections, and champion student success.

Local teams gather monthly from January to June for two-hour sessions led by dedicated ELI coaches. These gatherings delve into the core teacher leadership competencies, fostering an environment of continuous growth.

As part of the program, fellows engage in insightful activities, including interviews with association leaders, participation in influential education meetings such as school board or legislative sessions, and thought-provoking sounding board conversations with fellow early career educators in their district. Together, they identify a shared concern and shape it into an impactful action project jointly developed by the ELI fellows.

Please contact your local association leaders if you are interested in participating.
