Aspiring Educator Leads

Join an exciting team of fellow union members in investing in our Aspiring Educators Program. The UEA is looking for up to three members to help organize Aspiring Educators. We are looking for dedicated members are are invested in in our future educators and their union involvement.

Applications due December 23, 2024.

Program Goals:

  • Increase the number of members in Aspiring Ed Program.
  • Connect with Ed Rising Chapters across the state 
  • Support local Associations in building connections to Aspiring Members. 

Program Activities:

  • Onboarding Training (Jan 23, 2025):

  • Onboarding Training.
  • Meet the team.
  • Develop plans for Aspiring Program; Hustle texting, visiting schools.
  • Hustle & Campus Visits (Ongoing):

  • Hustle text Aspiring Members to connect with them. 
  • Track the number of members belonging to Aspiring.
  • Connect with Ed Rising Campus leads and visit their chapter meetings. 
  • Substitute Reimbursement and milage reimbursement provided.
  • AE Newsletter, Socials, & Website (Monthly):

  • Draft and manage content for the AE Newsletter and possible social media posts. 
  • Provide updates for content for the AE website. 
  • Summer Learning Institute (June 11, 2025):

  • Review program accomplishments and set goals for the upcoming year.
  • Additional Details:

  • Two year program commitment, with program ending at Summer Learning Institute 2026
  • $3,000 Program Participation Stipend provided at end of program.
  • Mileage and Sub Reimbursement covered.
  • Participants must apply!
