The Utah Education Association (UEA) is excited to announce the addition of six talented individuals to its team, each bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to their respective roles.

“Our new hires bring a remarkable blend of experience, passion, and fresh perspectives that align perfectly with UEA’s mission,” said UEA Executive Director Jennifer Boehme.

Bonnie Billings - Campaigns and Elections Director

Bonnie Billings is joining UEA as our new Campaigns and Elections Director, bringing a wealth of experience and enthusiasm. Known as “the person who runs campaigns for fun,” Bonnie has an extensive background in managing campaigns, recruiting candidates, and fundraising, thanks to her role as executive director of the Salt Lake Democratic Party. Most recently, she served as a program manager for Girl Scouts of Utah, focusing on outreach and partnerships and leading their cultural awareness program to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Lillian Tsosie-Jensen - Professional Learning Director

Lillian Tsosie-Jensen will take on the role of Professional Learning Director. She comes to UEA with a strong background in education, having served as a former educator and president of the Murray Education Association. Lillian worked at the Utah State Office of Education in counseling and student support and was the Equity, Justice, and Inclusion Director for Weber School District. In her new role, she will spearhead the creation of UEA’s Professional Learning Academy.

Valerie Morton - Jordan Canyons Regional Director

Valerie Morton will step into the role of Jordan Canyons Regional Director. Valerie’s organization, communication, and follow-through skills, combined with her deep knowledge of the legal services program from her time as UEA’s Legal Services Associate Professional, will make her a strong advocate for our members in the Jordan Canyons UniServ.

Esther Montiel Santander - Jordan Canyons Associate Professional

Esther Montiel Santander is our new Jordan Canyons Associate Professional. A recent graduate of the University of Utah with an accounting degree, Esther brings fresh energy and dedication to the team. Her previous experience includes working at Hyatt Place Park City, where she earned multiple Employee of the Month commendations. Esther is also actively involved in community service with Iglesia Bautista Maranatha in Salt Lake City.

Eunice Nyamuhindu - UEA Membership Associate Professional

Eunice Nyamuhindu joins UEA as the new Membership Associate Professional. She will play a key role in supporting our membership department, particularly as we expand our Auto-Pay initiatives. Eunice brings extensive experience in customer support, problem-solving, and managing member data and account payments. Her attention to detail and commitment to member service will be instrumental as we continue to enhance our membership programs.

Nick Lopez - UEA Facilities Coordinator
