The Utah Education Association (UEA) Legislative Team hosted a successful legislator luncheon on December 12, bringing together newly elected and veteran lawmakers from city, state, and school board positions. The event provided an opportunity for lawmakers to learn more about UEA’s values and mission to advocate for students, educators, and public schools across Utah.

Discussions centered on the challenges facing public education and the collaborative efforts needed to create policies that support strong public schools and thriving communities. Attendees appreciated the chance to connect, share ideas, and explore solutions that benefit Utah’s students and educators.

“We’re grateful for the commitment these lawmakers have shown to public education,” said UEA President Renée Pinkney. “Partnerships like these are essential to shaping a brighter future for our schools.”

The UEA Legislative Team looks forward to continued collaboration with leaders during the 2025 General Session of the Utah Legislature to advance the needs of public education in Utah.
