Following a recommendation from the Executive Director Search Committee, the Utah Education Association Board of Directors has selected Greg Burrow as UEA’s next executive director. Burrow has accepted the position and will begin Aug. 17.

Burrow currently serves as executive director of the Utah School Employees Association. In that role, he has worked with elected leadership to strengthen the union’s focus on organizing and membership.

His career includes work as a UniServ director and in government relations, communications, collective bargaining, data and organizing. That broad experience gives Burrow a strong understanding of how each part of a union works together to support members.

As executive director, Burrow will lead UEA staff and operations in carrying out the priorities established by members and elected leaders.

Interim Executive Director Lisa Nentl-Bloom will remain with UEA through Aug. 21 to support the transition. Glenn Bafia also served as interim executive director during the search process. UEA is deeply grateful to Lisa and Glenn for their steady leadership, dedicated service and care for members throughout this important time.

Please join us in welcoming Greg to the UEA!
