The Utah Reading Quest: A Statewide Reading Adventure!

Join classrooms across the state for The Utah Reading Quest, a month-long reading challenge held in March as part of Read Across America and Utah’s own celebration, Read Across Utah.

Designed for K–12 students, this challenge invites classrooms to embark on a reading journey that highlights Utah’s counties and celebrates the diversity of readers and stories in our state.

Throughout the month, students complete fun, county-based reading challenges that encourage exploration, connection, and a deeper love of reading.

Whether they are discovering new genres, celebrating different voices, or building reading habits as a class community, every student can find their place in the Quest.

  • Boost student engagement and enjoyment of reading
  • Build lasting classroom reading communities
  • Support school and district literacy goals

All participating classrooms will be entered into a drawing for a special author visit, featuring a local author who will provide signed books for students. Teachers may also request Utah Reading Quest stickers and bookmarks to hand out as students complete challenges.

The challenge runs March 1–31. Celebrate Utah’s readers.
