The Utah Education Association is proud to launch its first-ever podcast, the Listen, Learn, and Lead (L3) Podcast, streaming now on Spotify. New episodes will be released twice a month, bringing the world of Utah public education directly to our thousands of members across the state.

The L3 Podcast provides a platform for educator leaders and community allies to share their stories, perspectives, and expertise. Hosted by UEA Director of Professional Learning Lillian Tsosie-Jensen, each episode will feature timely conversations about the issues shaping Utah’s classrooms and the people who make public education possible.

First Episode: Michele Gay on School Safety

The debut episode features Michele Gay, an educator and mother who lost her daughter in the Sandy Hook tragedy. Gay is the founder and executive director of Safe and Sound Schools, a national nonprofit dedicated to school safety. Her perspective as a former elementary school teacher and as the mother of a special-needs child provides unique insight and inspiration for parents, administrators, educators, and community members working together to make schools safer.

The Listen, Learn, and Lead Podcast is another way UEA is amplifying educator voices, fostering community, and driving the conversation on the future of Utah public education.
