UEA Honor Roll Awards

2022 UEA Honor Roll Award nominations are now OPEN!

The Utah Education Association honors individuals or organizations that have provided outstanding service to education, including but not limited to legislators, members of the media, businesses, organizations, parents and other individuals who are not currently in a teaching position. The UEA will recognize recipient(s) of the 2022 UEA Honor Roll Award at the Superstars in Education Banquet in spring 2022. The selection will be made by the UEA Board of Directors upon the recommendation of a committee appointed by the Board.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. The nominee must have provided outstanding service to education, including but not limited to legislators, members of the media, businesses, organizations, parents and other individuals who are not currently in a teaching position.
2. Individuals or groups wishing to nominate an honoree may develop a file of documents substantiating the nomination to accompany the nomination form.
3. Provide a black and white or color photo.

Timeline

Winners are chosen and announced in April. The awards are presented at the KeyBank Superstars in Education banquet, typically held in May.

We encourage, support and celebrate nominations that reflect the diversity of Utah’s educators and communities.

Previous Winners

The 2021 UEA Honor Roll Award was given to Julie Nelson of Zimmerman Booher Appellate Attorneys for her work in securing due process rights for educators.
The 2020 UEA Honor Roll Award was given to Marcy Loveless, for helping to address the needs of children in Carbon County through the Carbon Caring for Kids program.
