McMullin to direct High Desert UniServ

The High Desert UniServ has appointed Tina McMullin as UniServ Director beginning August 1, 2022.

McMullin spent the past fourteen years in education, teaching social studies and language arts in the Beaver County School District, grades 7 through 12. Her association work over those years include local president, Color Country UniServ Executive Council, president of the UEA Council of Local Presidents and as school building association representative.

“I have had the opportunity to work in multiple fields during my adult life. As much as I love education, when I found myself advocating for teachers in my district and making a difference in their quality of life, I felt like I was coming home. I am so excited for this opportunity to serve the educators of the High Desert UniServ and advocate on a full-time basis.”

McMullin grew up in Northern Utah and worked full-time for the Utah Army National Guard and the Utah Court system before completing her education endorsements at Southern Utah University. She has a BA in history and political science from Columbia College and an M.Ed. with an endorsement in administration from Western Governors University.

McMullin replaces Tom Nedreberg who is retiring from the High Desert UniServ after serving 40+ years as an educator and advocate for education. The High Desert UniServ serves educators in Juab, Millard, North Sanpete, San Juan, Sevier, South Sanpete, Tintic and Wayne School Districts.
