Utah Aspiring Educator Appointed to NEA Committee

The Utah Educations Association is excited to announce that Aspiring Educator Interim Chair, CJ Gebhardt, was formally appointed to serve as the aspiring educator representative on the National Education Association’s Women’s Issues Committee for the 2018 – 2019 school year.

The National Education Association Aspiring Educators Program has the distinct pleasure of reviewing qualified, passionate, and remarkable applications submitted by student leaders from across our country to represent the interests of 50,000 aspiring educators.

CJ is an aspiring educator studying Elementary Education. CJ didn’t initially know what she was getting into when she signed up to attend the Utah Education Association House of Delegates. Since attending, she has been a courageous and fearless advocate while working with other state leaders to build and strengthen the Utah state student program. CJ understands the issues that women face, especially those interested in leadership positions, even in a female-dominated profession. CJ is a compassionate, creative, and dedicated leader for the NEA.

Visit the UEA Aspiring Educators Program website for information on the benefits of joining and upcoming events.
