Mission Statement

The UEA's mission is to advance the cause of public education in partnership with others: strengthen the teaching profession, promote quality schools for Utah's children, and advocate the well-being of members.

UEA Transformation

After the voucher campaign in 2007, many of the leaders and staff of the UEA recognized the need for the Association to take a pro-active approach when dealing with critical public education issues. To accomplish this, the UEA Transformation Team was formed in 2008 and given the task to develop a set of recommendations to help the Association reach these four Strategic Goals.

The Transformation Team developed 14 formal recommendations, all of which have been approved by the UEA Board of Directors. These recommendations represent a framework for the future of the Association.
